Notar.ro respects the privacy of its users. This policy explains what personal data we collect, for what purpose, and what rights you have regarding it.
What data we collect
We collect the data you provide directly (name, email, phone) when creating an account and booking, as well as technical data (IP address, device type) generated automatically as you use the platform.
How we use your data
We use your data to create your account, process bookings at notary offices, send you confirmations and notifications, and improve the platform's services.
Legal basis for processing
We process data based on the performance of a contract (your bookings), your consent (marketing communications), and the legal obligations applicable to notarial activity.
Data sharing
We share only the data strictly necessary with the notary office you choose for your booking. We do not sell your data or pass it to third parties for marketing purposes.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active and afterwards only for the period required by legal obligations. Data tied to documents with legal value is retained in line with notarial legislation.
Security
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption of sensitive data and role-based access control.
Data submitted through the contact form
When you write to us through the contact form, we process your name, email address and, optionally, your phone number and subject, together with the content of your message, in order to respond to your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the questions you send us, and the pre-contractual steps taken at your request. We collect only the data necessary for this purpose; please do not include sensitive data in your message, such as your national ID number (CNP), ID document series and number, or health information. We keep these messages for at most 24 months after they are resolved, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
